As the lead UI/UX designer at Xifin Inc, I spearheaded a major website redesign and migration, transforming the company’s digital presence and streamlining content management by transitioning from Drupal to WordPress.
The project began with an in-depth user research phase, during which I collaborated closely with Xifin’s stakeholders to align on business goals and gather insights from their target audience. Using these findings, I created user personas and mapped out user journeys to guide the design process, ensuring that every decision was data-driven and user-focused.
Next, I worked on developing a design system for XiFin.
This included defining the brand's visual identity, typography, and color palette.
Using this design system as a guide, the team designed wireframes and high-fidelity mockups for the website's user interface (UI).
Key Considerations:
I developed a comprehensive design system that standardized typography, color schemes, and reusable design components to ensure a consistent visual identity across all touchpoints. This scalable system provided flexibility for Xifin’s marketing team to efficiently implement future updates, ensuring longevity and consistency in the site's visual language.
Key Features:
After finalizing the design, I spearheaded the migration from Drupal to WordPress. This process involved building custom interactions, ensuring the site’s responsiveness across all devices, and integrating reusable components to enhance usability and efficiency. The transition significantly improved both front-end performance and backend usability for Xifin's marketing team.
Once the design system was in place, we migrated the website from Drupal to WordPress. This involved:
By focusing on reusable, scalable elements, we streamlined the marketing team's ability to maintain the site. This led to improved efficiency and reduced the workload for updates.
With the wireframes as a guide, we got to work on the design of the website.
We kept the design clean and modern with a focus on making it easy for users to navigate and find the information they need.
We also incorporated the company's branding to give the website a cohesive look and feel.
With the design complete, I moved on to development using Webflow. This allowed us to create a responsive website that looks and functions great on all devices. We also integrated various features such as a contact form and live chat to make it easy for users to connect with the company.
The redesign resulted in:
This project is a clear demonstration of my ability to lead a high-impact digital transformation. By focusing on the needs of both the business and its end users, I created a website that not only looks great but delivers measurable results. From strategy and design to development and implementation, this project highlights my full-stack approach to UX design, web development, and project management.
